The Crusade Against Religion

Wired News: Battle of the New Atheism: "My friends, I must ask you an important question today: Where do you stand on God?"

I BELIEVE in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Amen.

Thanks for asking. Ironically, I don't believe in Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris or Daniel Dennett--- they've never touched my life.

Jack of all Trades...

Now the Washington Post has never been very kind to AOL's software releases but I dare say that their review of OpenRide is one of the worst that we've received. But maybe their takeaway is something we can learn from.

"Even with all the problems OpenRide demonstrates, AOL could still make something of it. But for that to happen, the company will have to demonstrate a quality that's been in short supply in this decade: persistence.

AOL has repeatedly released promising applications, such as the AOL Communicator e-mail program, and then abandoned them. It needs to do better with OpenRide, or the logical upgrade path for AOL subscribers will continue to be some other company's Internet software."

Google Puts Lid on New Products - Los Angeles Times

Google Puts Lid on New Products - Los Angeles Times

Poor babies. Welcome to the post bubble. AKA the real world.

"Features, not products." - oh, gosh - it's funny because folks around here seem to point to Google's products and point the how terse they are and say -- let's build that. Guess people don't want terse products. Probably the same reason why people could get away with WRITE.EXE, but instead plop down the cash for MS Office.
